That’s because these ladies, selected through a random drawing of names entered in the Queen for a Day sweepstakes, will each be paired with a pro woman racer who will be riding for her in this year’s 40K race. Of this group, the lady paired with the rider who finishes in the highest position will win a full day of royal treatment at Avanté Salon & Spa, where she will relax in a private setting as she is pampered with a full-body massage, facial, hand paraffin treatment, manicure and pedicure, as well as a shampoo, haircut and makeup application. And, of course, a special lunch will be served.
In addition to the opportunity to be Queen for a Day, these ladies will receive full VIP privileges during the Iron Hill Twilight Race Series. Besides meeting many of the top pro-women riders in the United States, each will receive a pass for herself and a guest to the Susquehanna Bank Crit Club ideally located on the race route, where they will enjoy a bountiful buffet dinner and beverages with other VIP guests. Each will also experience the thrill of criterium bike racing during a VIP ride in the official Subaru Pace Car.
