Susan Ferry, 46, Villanova
Radnor Run committee member; cat caregiver, Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals; dairy herder
» Books on her night stand: Joyce Meyer books, health and nutrition books, and alternative healing books.
» Music on repeat: Christian worship—like Delirious, Third Day and Hillsong.
» Restaurant of the hour: 333 Belrose in Radnor. You feel like you’re in the city when you go there.
» Personal hero: My mom is my biggest hero. Right now, she’s in stage IV of ovarian cancer. She’s an outstanding and very virtuous person. When she married my father, a dairy farmer, she was a nurse, but she gave up her career and sacrificed everything to make the farm successful. My mom always puts everyone before herself.
» One thing she knows for sure: God loves everybody. There’s a lot of bad that goes around, but good always prevails.
» Very own vici: I won the Radnor Run in the 1990s.
» Zen destination: I love heat in the summer, so I like to go to the Shore. Islands are very relaxing. Being outside in the sun is wonderful for me.
» If she had an extra hour each day, she would: Catch up on sleep.
» Pet peeve: Things that are out of place.
» Life view: chance or fate? I believe that God has a plan for everyone’s life. He is in control, and I place my faith in that.
» Most marked characteristic: I try to look at things in a positive way.
» Qualities she admires most in others: I admire a hardworking, honest person with an open heart and open mind.
» Mantra: God is in control. Don’t worry, and don’t get stressed out over everything, because it will all work out.
