Style: When I was a new mom, I had no style, only sweats. Now, I’m comfortable chic, a little rugged.

Fashion icon: If I could dress in any era, it would be the 1990s—so comfortable, but less grungy than the first time around.

Shopping strategy: Going alone is ideal for me. But, with two small children, it doesn’t happen very often. Now, I go on Pinterest and pin outfits I like on my board. When I shop, I’ll call up my list on my phone.

Worth the splurge: Quality denim. If I’ve done the research and know the jeans are well constructed, it’s well worth a big price tag.

Indispensable accessory: Scarves. I love them. If a shirt can’t pull off a scarf, I go with a statement necklace.

Favorite footwear: Brown, knee-height riding boots by Carlos Santana; I bought them at Macy’s. They zipper up the back, and the fabric below the zipper is red. I wear them everywhere in fall.

Where to find her without makeup: Just about anywhere. If it’s a day when I’m meeting people, I’ll put on makeup.

Signature fragrance: I don’t usually wear perfume. When I do, it’s Curve, which someone gave me a long time ago.

Oldest thing in her closet: I have a sweatshirt from middle school and boxer shorts I wear as pajamas that I got in grade school.

Most recent purchase: A plaid, button-down shirt from the Gap—very ’90s.

What she’s wearing (at Clothes Mentor, West Chester): Lucky Brand jeans, Express tank top, Theory blazer.
