Chef Paul DiBona’s Pepperoncini is one of the big reasons to turn off Fayette Street and explore the handful of neighborhood restaurants that can be found throughout Conshohocken.

The menu at Pepperoncini offers all of the classics like meatballs, lasagna made with crêpes, and thin-crust pizza. “I wanted to create an approachable menu that would allow everyone to find a favorite dish,” says DiBona.

The blackboard specials are where DiBona’s dishes rise above the competition. On a recent evening, a special was Strozzapreti served with shrimp, hot sausage, broccolini and sun-dried tomatoes in a white wine sauce. You’ll also find dishes built around swordfish, sea bass, prime steaks and chops and fresh pasta.

Must-tries: Stuffed Longhots filled with sharp Provolone, sweet sausage and fresh tomato marinara; the antipasto dish named after Opera singer Luciano Pavarotti, which pairs imported buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto-wrapped
asparagus, roasted plum tomatoes and aged balsamic.
