Since opening in June 2007, Stitch Haus has become the premier needlepoint shop on the Main Line. Owners Sandy Annesley and Lisa Hanhausen offer a huge selection of hand-painted canvases from popular designers like Creative Needle, Gayla Elliott Designs and Needlepoint of Back Bay, along with a line of colorful threads in wool, silk, cotton and specialty blends. The shop offers needlepoint classes for all skill levels—but if you’d rather not do it yourself, an expert at Stitch Haus will make it for you. “We have needlepoint groups come in from as far as Delaware and New Jersey,” says Annesley. “We can even send someone from our staff to your home to host a stitching night.”
In addition to needlepoint-related accessories, Stitch Haus has a fabulous selection of gifts, including hand towels, bathrobes, cosmetic and jewelry cases, baby blankets, and more. “People assume we’re just a needlepoint shop,” says Annesley. “They love that they can come in here to pick up a gift, too.”
And Annesley and her team can create any type of design or logo for monogramming. “Monogramming is a large part of our business,” she says. “We can personalize any gift in our store, or you can bring in something of your own.”
