Downtown West Chester heats up for the return of the Rotary Club of West Chester’s Chili Cookoff on Oct. 13. More than 50 teams will compete with original concoctions. The entrance fee is just $10 to taste-test each and every one.

Medi Makeover

The Florida-headquartered, Mediterranean-flavored Carmel Café & Wine Bar has expanded to Pennsylvania, opening its sixth restaurant. Look for it along Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, in the former home of Hogfish Bar & Grill. The focus: bold, uncomplicated small plates and a well-curated wine program.

New ‘Cue

Recent Next Food Network Star contestant Chad Rosenthal has unveiled his latest venture in Ambler. Coined The Lucky Well, this new eat-with-your-hands hub on Butler Avenue offers house-smoked barbecue, made-from-scratch comfort food and a vast collection of whiskeys.
