Style: I’m a casual person who loves classics. But I do like that fun twist that dresses up an outfit—like cowboy hats and boots. Edgy, but not too young.
Fashion icon: I don’t have one, although I love that Ralph Lauren, all-American look.
Shopping Strategy: I shop alone, not with a group or even with my sister—although we’re very close. I know my style and what works for my body. I love shops that let you take things home and play with them. Boutique shopping is the best; I don’t want to see myself coming and going.
Worth the splurge: Jewelry … and shoes, purses and boots.
Indispensable accessory: A ring my mother wore—her engagement ring—which was reset. And the Chanel watch my husband gave me for my 50th birthday. It’s a beautiful reminder that our time together is so special.
Favorite footwear: My Chanel shoes. The classic-style, gray-and-black suede pumps—very simple.
Where to find her without makeup: Only at home. I don’t leave the house without lip gloss, a baseball cap and sunglasses. Signature fragrance: Gucci Flora. I’ve been wearing it for six or seven years.
Oldest thing in her closet: A Louis Vuitton duffle handbag. My mother got it for me 35 years ago. I gave it to my daughter, and then it came back to me.
Most recent purchase: Joie boots—booties with that great stacked heel that’s easy to walk on. They’re navy-blue suede, a color that’s very hard to find in shoes.
What she’s wearing (at Louella, Wayne): Cognac Colleen booties by Isolá, Grayson bag by Big Buddha, cashmere-and-leather steeplechase sweaterdress by Sail to Sable.
