Americans spend over $2 billion on Easter candy annually. And you can find all of your favorites by hopping down to Edwards Freeman Nut Company on East Hector Street in Conshohocken.
Conshy’s Willy Wonka—or, in this case, Peter Rabbit—is Rob Nelson, who makes sure every Easter basket is full. The options are getting crazier every year. Peeps only came in three traditional yellow, pink and white until 1995. Since then, all types of colors and flavors have been introduced. This year, Nelson recommends the chocolate-dipped mousse chicks.
Everyone dyes eggs for Easter, and Nelson also suggests getting creative with Peeps. He has everything you need to dye them, chocolate to dip them in, and a huge variety of sprinkles to coat them with.
If you want to keep it traditional, you’ll find Asher’s solid-chocolate bunnies and eggs filled with peanut butter, coconut and vanilla butter cream; sitting rabbits from two to 12 ounces; every flavor of jelly bean; speckled eggs; and five flavors of Zitner’s eggs.
