The Chester County Historical Society (High and Chestnut streets) offers a glimpse into the history the region. It interprets the customs, traditions and some of the remarkable natural resources that shaped the Brandywine Valley.
The Decorative Arts Gallery features Chester County craftsmanship with distinctive furniture made in Chester County from the earliest European settlers in the 1680s to the mid-1800s.
The current exhibit — Profiles: Chester County Clothing of the 1800s — is extended through January 2015. It provides a rare glimpse at nationally significant examples of people’s including exceptional recent acquisitions never exhibited before.
