Calling All Fashionistas

Step into shopping heaven at the Agnes Irwin School’s three-day Spring Market April 16-18, featuring over 40 local and national merchants.

Some Agnes Irwin School students shop till they drop.I’ve been looking forward to this event since I first heard about it: Agnes Irwin’s Spring Market. It started as a one-day boutique and blossomed into a three-day, not-to-be-missed shopping extravaganza. More than 30 merchants from throughout the country—including Dakota Martin, Kage Designs and Thatcher Spring—will showcase and sell some of their most fabulous fashions, products and gifts April 16-18 on the grounds of Irwin’s Lower School and in the Laura Thomas Buck ‘49 Pavilion. So I’m making a list of all the occasions I need presents for: Mother’s Day, my best friend’s birthday, my cousin’s graduation, and Father’s Day—I’ve been told there will be plenty of items for men, too!

The shopping weekend begins with a Preview Party Thursday night sponsored by Lilly Pulitzer, followed by a full day of shopping on Friday. Gramercy Boutique in Wayne’s Spread Eagle Village is sponsoring a “Girls’ Night Out” cocktail and shopping event Friday evening, when Agnes Irwin alums will model the shop’s latest spring and summer looks. And as if the hottest fashions weren’t enough of a draw, the award-winning spa Polished will offer complimentary treatments. Then the festivities wrap up Saturday with more shopping, lectures and demonstrations by various Main Line experts. Check out the complete schedule of events below, or visit agnesirwin.org.

I’ll see you at the Market!
