Best of Manayunk and Conshohocken

Bar Snacks: Beast & Ale

Sure, you can grab a beer after work and nosh on some stale peanuts and pretzels. Or you can head to Beast & Ale and chow down on something special. The team behind Mexican favorites Cantina Feliz, La Calaca Feliz and Taqueria Feliz doesn’t disappoint when it comes to great snacks. We highly recommend the pork-belly fries and the fried green beans.

Burger: Lucky’s Last Chance

Is there anything Lucky’s won’t top a burger with? Apparently not. Peanut butter, mac-and-cheese, shredded buffalo chicken, and fried egg have all make the cut. We’ll leave the rest to your imagination. And be sure to order a side of tots.

Restaurant Expansion: Below Deck Bottle Shop

Flanigan’s Boathouse already had a lot going for it—a solid menu, a loyal audience, great food. So the decision to install an authentic beer-lover’s destination on the ground level was a welcome surprise. The aptly named Below Deck Bottle Shop’s many options include Allagash Curieux, Ballast Point’s Grapefruit Sculpin, and Maine Beer Company’s Mean Old Tom.
