Best Finishing Holes: Philadelphia County Club, Galdwyne, PA

Spring Mill Course, 392 yards, par 4

Sometimes a par-4 finishing hole that seems short and makeable is the one that has you writing “5” on your scorecard—if you don’t navigate properly.
“Our 18th hole from the back tees is a 392-yard uphill dogleg to the right,” says head pro Scott Reilly. “The fairway bunkers on this hole offer the biggest threat to limiting second shots from getting to the green in two. With a solid drive, many players are left with less than 150 yards into a well-protected green. The first third of the green slopes quickly back to the fairway, while the back third offers enough undulation to stop most second shots when they land. With a prevailing headwind, players should take enough club and use the slopes to get shots close.”
