Best Finishing Holes: Aronimink Golf Club, Newtown Square, PA

436 yards, par 4

This hole was named the “Aronimink” by its architect Donald Ross. But a more apt name may have been “Makeyouthink,” since it’s not the hardest hole on the course but sure could become one, if you let it.
An accurate tee shot is needed to avoid the first bunker on the right, while trees on the left mean you can’t cheat too much away from the left side of the fairway. Your second shot requires a middle iron or hybrid uphill to a large green, with the historic Aronimink clubhouse as the aiming point.
A winding, terraced green provides enough challenge for any golfing level, and some of the pin placements have proven tricky for even the professionals in the final round of many of the local and national events played here.
