An already thriving retail scene gets even better with the addition of Avalon Shops on Dune (www.avalonshopsondune.com), a high-end cooperative featuring everything from artwork to kids’ clothing, and Happy in Avalon, a feel-good hub offering locally made jewelry, original art, and organic, American-made beach and yoga wear.
The Stone Harbor Arts & Crafts Festival (www.shacfest.com) attracts a record number of visitors each year. Expect to see work from more than 300 artisans Aug. 2-3.
