Dave Hause “Kick”
Out now

No doubt inspired by the recent birth of twin boys, Delaware County Christian School grad Dave Hause has delivered Kick (Rise/BMG), his fourth and most accomplished solo album. Sturdy, anthemic roots rock with an edge informed by his days with Philly hardcore band The Loved Ones, Kick’s 10 tracks reflect struggles internal and external, micro and macro, from the perspective a guy who’s been around some.

Does all that summer sun have you craving an extra dose of antioxidants? Head to the Linvilla Orchards Blueberry Festival, where you can pick your own blueberries, compete in a pie-eating contest, and keep the kids occupied with face painting and more.

Inn at Grace Winery Front Yard Supper Series
July 19, Glen Mills

A lush vineyard and historic mansion estate form the backdrop for an idyllic summer evening as the Inn at Grace Winery hosts its Front Yard Summer Supper Series. The inn’s executive chef, Richard DiStefano, prepares a sumptuous three-course meal, paired with wines. Make it a weekend and stay the night.

XPoNential Festival
July 26-28, Camden, N.J.

Two things are pretty much guaranteed at every XPoNential Festival: great music and oppressive heat. This year’s version of WXPN’s signature event happens July 26-28. Headliners include new wave stalwarts Blondie and Elvis Costello & the Imposters, plus 30 other acts of all stripes, performing at BB&T Pavilion and on three stages at nearby Wiggins Park in Camden, N.J.
