The scoop: This five-room B&B in a century-old mansion puts you within easy walking distance of just about all of Bethlehem’s attractions and activities.
Amenities: Aside from the lovely three-course breakfast, Morningstar serves complimentary wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres in the evening, and you’ll find freshly baked cookies all day. Don’t miss: A three-day celebration of Bethlehem’s famous marshmallow confection, the Peeps Fest is held the last weekend in December. Past years have featured ice carving, Olympic-style games, street performers, fireworks and more. And be sure to catch the New Year’s Eve dropping of a 45-pound Peeps chick. It’s held in the late afternoon, so the whole family can attend.
