Cost: Club rooms $299-$539; suites also available.
Drive time: 90 minutes
The scoop: Just opened in June, this $400 million, 43-story property in the Marina District is Atlantic City’s first major non-gaming hotel. Despite its size, it offers the feel and service of a boutique hotel. And if you want casino games, restaurants and nightlife, it connects to the Borgata.
Amenities: Rooms have custom-designed beds, 400-thread-count sheets and Italian marble showers for two, with Rain Dome showerheads. The two-story, guests-only Immersion Spa has sweeping ocean views and a full menu of skin and body treatments. Five heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools (with Jacuzzi) offer bar and food service.
Don’t miss: The in-room spa and poolside menus created by chef Geoffrey Zakarian, owner of Manhattan’s Country and Town restaurants; shopping for everything from diamonds to designer clothing and accessories at six on-premises boutiques.
