Who says you have to choose between in-the-heart-of-everything glitz and off-the-beaten-path tranquility? A world-class golf resort located just 15 minutes from Atlantic City, Seaview is set on 675 idyllic wooded acres with two championship courses. More than a century old, it was founded in 1914 as a private golf club. Grace Kelly celebrated her Sweet 16 at Seaview, which has also welcomed the Rolling Stones and presidents Warren G. Harding and Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Many of the building’s original architectural features have been preserved to maintain its historic relevance. Rooms and suites are spacious, light, airy and comfortable. As you’d expect from a fine hotel, the service is impeccable. Even your pup will be treated like an honored guest. Three on-site dining options offer everything from elegant sit-down meals to casual pub fare. Don’t miss Prime Rib Night in the main dining room every Friday and Saturday. The lobby bar is always lively. Guests can also sip cocktails—or Seaview’s signature 1914 IPA—outside by the fire pit.

Like the hotel itself, Seaview’s two golf courses have long and storied histories. The legendary Sam Snead won his first PGA championship in 1942 on the links-style Bay Course. The Bay also hosts the annual three-day LPGA Classic, where the best female golfers in the world vie for a $1.75 million prize. Snead also figures in the history of the Pines Course, opened in 1929. He won the first of seven majors here in 1942. The Pines course winds its way through lush woodlands. Players have access to a putting green, and lessons are available through a partnership with the renowned Bird Golf Academy.
On Aug. 24, come hungry for an afternoon of noshing and walking through Atlantic City’s Ducktown district with On the Town Food Tours. Settled by Italian immigrants in the last century, Ducktown is known for its rich Italian influence—and the food reflects this delicious culture.
