The scoop: Located in the Northern Berkshire Mountains, Jiminy Peak is best known as the largest ski and snowboard area in Southern New England. In summer, its Mountain Adventure Park is a family-friendly playground featuring the thrill-inducing Alpine Super Slide, Mountain Coaster (2,600 feet of twisting track through the woods at up to 23 miles per hour), Giant Swing and Euro-bungee Trampoline.

Amenities: All accommodations include queen sleep sofa and kitchen area. The resort also features an outdoor swimming pool, indoor and outdoor whirlpools, and on-premises shopping and dining.

Don’t miss: Take a Scenic Summit Chairlift Ride up the mountain for majestic views of Mount Greylock and Jericho Valley. Bring your mountain bike for a challenging ride down. Catch a concert at nearby Tanglewood, and dance troops from all over the world at the Jacob’s Pillow annual summer festival.
