The Scoop: Almost 150 years ago, French master vintner Louis Nicholas Renault planted his first vineyard on this South Jersey property. Today, the winery that bears his name is the centerpiece of a destination resort. The hotel was designed to reflect the winery’s Old World European roots, and it does so beautifully in both decor and hospitality.
Amenities: The resort is a great getaway for golfers. It has its own 18-hole championship course, with gorgeous views of the vineyards.
Don’t miss: If you’re looking for a romantic getaway spot for Valentine’s weekend, the hotel offers a nice package for two, including room, dinner and a winery tour for $249 a night. Be sure to hit the prix-fixe Sunday brunch at Renault Gourmet Restaurant, one of two on-site dining spots.
