Ghost Light Inn Enchants Visitors With Boutique Stays in New Hope

With Delaware River views and a modern American eatery, this charming hotel is a delight for overnight getaways.

In the theater world, a ghost light is a single bulb on a metal stand left on to illuminate the stage for restless spirits. But this boutique hotel is more about hospitality than haunting. Once the Playhouse Inn, the structure has been completely renovated after being shuttered for years. Eight of the 12 rooms overlook the Delaware River, and some have Juliet balconies. In-house dining is offered at Stella, a modern American concept featuring 180-degree views of the river and a second-floor patio with a wood-burning fireplace. A pup-centric menu is also available.
