Super Bowl LIX is just days away as our Philadelphia Eagles are set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans. A rematch of Super Bowl LVII, the Chiefs and Eages are well acquainted with each other through the Kelce brothers and their week 11 bout in 2023.
However, there’s been a lot of turnover on the Eagles’ end since they last matched up. The most important piece is running back Saquon Barkley, who broke the franchise rushing record this year with 2005 yards. Furthermore, Philadelphia has enjoyed the presence of All-Pros Zack Baun and Jalen Carter at linebacker and D-line, respectively, as well as rookie cornerbacks Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell.
All told, the Eagles have a stronger team this year than the last time these two squads met in the Super Bowl, though they are missing stalwart center Jason Kelce. Fortunately, Kelce’s absence has been filled admirably by 2022 second round pick Cam Jurgens.
