Celebrate Pride Month Around the Main Line and Philadelphia Region

Here’s how to celebrate Pride Month on the Main Line and in Philadelphia at events in support of the LGBTQI+ community this June.

Pride Month takes place each year on the Main Line and in Philadelphia during the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. Check out these events around the region to celebrate, with everything from art exhibits to parades on the lineup.

Pride Month Events on the Main Line 

Delco and Upper Darby Pride March 

Join UDTJ and Delco for a celebration of the Delco Pride March before the Upper Darby Pride Festival on Saturday, June 11 beginning at noon. The event will start at Beverly Hills Middle School and end at the festival.

Drag Queen Story Time With Brittany Lynn 

On Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m.-12 p.m., The Main Line Art Center will be hosting Ms. Brittany Lynn for her Drag Queen Story Time.

Pride Cabaret 

Hosted by Brittany Lynn, Pride Cabaret takes place at Towne House in Media and features music and fun on Friday, June 10 from 8-11 p.m.

Pride at the Park 

Pride at the Park will be held Saturday, June 11 from 12-4 p.m. at Narberth Park. There will be food, live music, local artists and vendors, nonprofits and student organizations. This will be the first major event that supports the LGBTQ+ community in Narberth and Lower Merion.

Cocktails for a Cause 

Through the entire month of June, FCM Hospitality presents a fundraiser for four local charities supporting Philly Gay Pride Month. Cocktails for a Cause will be held at Liberty Point, The Garden at Cherry Street Pier, The Dolphin, Morgan’s Pier, Craft Hall, Parks on Tap, Rosy’s Taco Bar, Harper’s Garden, Lola’s Garden, Concourse Dance Bar and Juno. These locations will be serving drinks that match the colors of the LGBTQ rainbow flag. One dollar from each drink will support local charities. 

Gay Old Time 

Come out to Punch Line Philly for the showcase of the best LGBTQ+ comics. Doors open at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, and tickets will be $15 per person.

Love Out Loud 

From June 3-5, W Philadelphia will be hosting its event, Love Out Loud, a campaign weekend filled with celebratory LGBTQ+ programming. Visit the website for the full lineup for the weekend.

Philly Gay Pride Flag Exhibit Opening and Dedication 

Get ready to kick off Pride Month in Philly at the Sofitel Philadelphia with activities like the Pride Flag Dedication, Drag Tea Preview, Opening of the Pride LGBTQ Hall of Flags and news of its new charity partner. The flag exhibit will be held Wednesday, June 1 at 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Philly Pride March 

The PHL Pride Collective is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Philadelphia’s first Gay Pride Day in 1972 with the event, PHL Pride 50: Our Community, Our Joy. The weekend of June 3-5, there will be multiple events including the Pride March and Pride Festival. 

The Pride March will begin at 5th and Arch Streets. The festival will kick off at noon in the Gayborhood.

Philly Pride Run 

For its sixth year, the Philly Pride Run is back on Saturday, June 11 beginning at 8 a.m. at the Please Touch Museum by Les Run Running Club and Out Philadelphia Athletic League. This event supports William Way LGBT Community Center.

Pride Day at Philadelphia Zoo 

On Saturday, June 25, the Philadelphia Zoo celebrates the LGBTQ+ community with its Pride Day. It is an all-ages event with local LGBTQ organizations giving away literature.

#loveislove Gay Pride Month Special Beer Release 

Evil Genius Beer Company celebrates Pride Month with a special limited-edition beer release, #loveislove. It is a strawberry blonde ale, with a portion of all sales being donated to the Trevor Project. There will be a Gay Pride Kickoff Happy Hour and Keg Tapping on Thursday, June 2 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for a first taste.
