Opening: This Earthen Door: Nature as Muse and Material

The Brandywine Museum launches its latest exhibition this Saturday. This Earthen Door is a nature-based, cross-disciplinary exhibit from artists Amanda Marchand and Leah Sobsey. After five years of work to combine natural materials with historical and contemporary photographic processes, this gallery showing is a kaleidoscopic display of color across more than four dozen works.

The Philly Ren Faire comes to town just south of the airport, on historic Fort Mifflin, this weekend. Be sure to catch all the performers, vendors, bards, magicians, musicians and wacky characters that take part in the fair. From archery to tabletop gaming, historic tours, live combat and more, you won’t go bored for a moment at this eccentric festival.

44th Annual Mustang & Ford Show

Auto lovers come together this weekend at Kimberton Fairgrounds outside Phoenixville for the Valley Forge Mustang Club’s annual car show. Be sure to check out all eight Mustang classes and four Ford classes among the auction, food trucks, live music, 50/50 drawings and awards show.

Longwood Gardens Festival of Fountains

Longwood Gardens’ big summer exhibition is one you won’t want to miss. Festival of Fountains is perfect for romantic dates, evening strolls and family outings amid stunning greenery accented by brilliant waterworks illuminated by vibrant colors. Stay tuned to Longwood’s schedule for classical nights, during which fountain shows are matched to classical music, once a week on select Sunday evenings throughout the summer.

Valley Forge Trolley Tours

See Valley Forge in comfort as this 90-minute guided trolley tour takes guests through one of the turning points of the Revolutionary War. The 10-mile loop of Valley Forge National Park includes stops at Muhlenberg’s Brigade and Washington’s Headquarters, where visitors can disembark and explore the camp on foot. Tours are offered on all weekends, departing at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. through June 1, then daily through September 1.

KOP Town Center Presents: Live Music on the Green

Unwind, grab a drink or join some friends on a crisp Thursday evening throughout spring and summer for a live outdoor show you can count on every week from 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays. The next performer will be So What! on May 22.
