Running March 16 to May 25, Delaware Art Museum’s There Is a Woman in Every Color: Black Women in Art examines the representation of black women in our culture’s art history over the past two centuries. This traveling exhibition organized by the Bowdoin College Museum of Art showcases artists like Edmonia Lewis, Elizabeth Catlett, Alma Thomas, Carrie Mae Weems, Mickalene Thomas and LaToya Ruby Frazier.
