1835 N. Middletown Rd, Glen Mills
Looking for a scare? This fall, Bates Motel announces the return of the Haunted Hayride and the Revenge of the Scarecrows Haunted Corn Trail along with the addition of Double Edge Axe Throwing. Bates Motel is open October 7 through 31, Monday through Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and weekends from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
225 North High St, West Chester
See West Chester like you’ve never seen it before. Presented by the Chester County History Center, the event invites guests to listen to macabre stories from the borough’s history while visiting landmarks downtown.

With five haunted houses, historic tours, themed bars and live entertainment, Eastern State Penitentiary’s Halloween Nights ensure that every visitor experiences all the frights. Step inside the abandoned penitentiary complex if you dare from 7 p.m. to midnight throughout October.
2200 South Swanson St, Philadelphia
Featured on the Travel Channel as one of the scariest haunted attractions in America, Fright Factory boasts over 25,000 square feet of terror dating back 120 years. Plan to visit on weekends in October between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. as well as various weekdays throughout the month.
5th and Chestnut St, Philadelphia
Named one of the top 10 “must-see” attractions in the U.S., the Ghost Tour of Philadelphia tells stories from the founding of William Penn’s colony to present-day hauntings. Visit any night through November beginning at 7:30 p.m.

250 Commonwealth Dr, Spring City
After the Pennhurst State School, an institution for mentally and physically disabled individuals, closed in 1987, it has since become one of the scariest attractions in the U.S. Get ready for paranormal hauntings with three different attractions that are open on weekends in October through the first weekend of November from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
4100 Main St, Philadelphia
New this year, a hidden chamber was discovered under Manayunk’s Lincoln Mill during repairs to damage caused by Hurricane Ida. A shockingly dark history was uncovered below the basement level and has been turned into a haunted attraction for guests to experience on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings through the first weekend of November.
