Elton John has been at the top of his game for five decades now, and there’s no sign of him slowing down. Between his Las Vegas residencies and time spent in the studio, he fundraises on behalf of AIDS organizations that include his own namesake foundation—all while enjoying married life and fatherhood.

Elton brings this boundless energy, time and again, to every performance. And if you’re lucky enough to have a ticket to his Feb. 28 show at Reading’s Santander Arena, my guess is that you’ll be dazzled. There was a time when much of the dazzling came from the outrageous costumes that he’d wear on stage. Nowadays, his fashion sense is a bit more tempered, although there’s still a bit of glitter in that closet.

He latest tour is dubbed “All the Hits” and will include a generous serving of songs from his ’70s classic, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, recently re-mastered for its 40th anniversary. Elton’s shows are still very much about the fans. Often, he’ll sign autographs during the show, and he intersperses personal stories throughout the evening. Expect 25 songs over 2 1/2 hours, and something for Elton fans of every age.
