What better way to get in the holiday spirit than by cutting your own Christmas tree with your family? As Thanksgiving comes up, it’s the perfect time to grab your most festive decoration. Find your dream tree at one of these farms around the Main Line area.

Bernard’s Tree Farm

Opening for the season on November 25, Bernard’s Tree Farm is a family tradition for many. Each tree costs $50, and the farm is cash-only.

Boswell’s Tree Farm

Owners Jim and Paula are excited to once again open their farm to families searching for their tree starting on November 24. Norway, white spruce, blue spruce and fir varieties are available, and saws and twine for cutting down your tree are provided. Dogs can even tag along on a leash.

Clark’s Christmas Tree Farm and Christmas Shop

If Santa had a Pennsylvania outpost, this spot might be it. Located in Cochranville, this 35-acre farm offers a selection of Douglas firs and spruce trees, which families can cut and take home starting the weekend before Thanksgiving when all products are 20% off. It also boasts a Christmas hub full of collectibles, decorations, gifts and more, making it a great one-stop shop for all your holiday needs.

Corkum Tree Farm

At this Collegeville farm, you can opt to cut down your tree or choose from a selection of pre-cut options. Christmas ornaments are also available for sale, all made locally or sourced fair-trade. Need a larger tree? The farm’s second location at 3934 Mill Road will be open on November 24-26 and December 2-3 and 9-10.

Located near the Maryland border, this tree farm opens on November 25 to offer three varieties of firs that can be cut down or selected from pre-cut options. Old Stone utilizes its own fresh greens to craft holiday décor, so make sure you stop in the gift shop before taking your tree home.

Westlake Tree Farms

Nestled in the hills of St. Peter’s Village, Westlake Tree Farms makes it easy for visitors to find the perfect Canaan fir to take home. Stop by the Christmas Barn to select ornaments for your tree and visit with Santa.

Wiggins Christmas Trees

Find your tree at the West Chester farm location and pre-cut lot or head to the second location in Cochranville. On November 26, December 3 and December 10, Wiggins Christmas Trees will partner with the West Chester Railroad to offer a 30-minute train ride to the farm for $20, after which visitors can select a tree and have it loaded back onto the train for the return trip. Trees are $80 for any size.

Yeager’s Farm & Market

Stroll through the farm or hop on a hayride to cut down your tree. Pre-cut selections are available in addition to greenery and custom decorated wreaths. Make sure to enjoy the fresh-baked goods, apple cider, local honey and fine chocolates before heading home to decorate.
