The Boarding House in Cape May, N.J. comes with perks for pups.

THE SCOOP: Your first hint that the Boarding House is canine-friendly is a big one: The surf-inspired 11-room boutique hotel is right across from Lafayette Street Dog Park in downtown Cape May. It’s also just a short stroll to the Washington Street Mall, with its many shops and restaurants.
