What to Do in Ardmore: Spend a Day in This Bustling Town

With all there is to do in Ardmore, you may need more than one day. Beyond the high-end restaurants and local stores to shop at, this bustling Main Line town also offers some of the best nightlife in the region. Our guide to tackling some of the great things to do during a day trip to the picturesque Pennsylvania locale leaves no stone unturned.

9 a.m. Grab breakfast at Nudy’s Cafe

11 Cricket Ave., Ardmore

This cozy eatery is a regional staple. With 14 storefronts located in the Philly suburbs, Nudy’s makes it hard to go wrong. Check out the wide selection of Benedicts, or spice things up with the huevos rancheros. Pancakes, cream-chipped beef and cake French toast are all highlights.

10:30 a.m. Experience Main Line culture at Black Moth Gallery and Dane Fine Art

18 E Lancaster Ave., Ardmore; 2320 Haverford Rd., Ardmore

Located in the back of an unassuming tattoo parlor, Black Moth Gallery hosts exhibits for just about any style of art you can imagine. Into Star Wars? The Droids and Sabers collection invited nine local artists for all things Skywalker this summer. The October exhibition from Chenoa Warner, You Were Never Really Here, uses dreamlike characteristics and dramatic expressions to explore “the nature of choice and a life created in each moment.”

Dane Fine Art, meanwhile, has been buying and selling fine art for over 40 years since 1981. It’s currently featuring prints from artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, but don’t miss the masterworks either. The venue’s staff of over two dozen art professionals will help you with any strange or unusual questions you might have.

12 p.m. – Have a blast at Play-a-Round Golf

Suburban Square was one of America’s original outdoor shopping centers. With over 50 stores, shops and restaurants, this walkable venue has such a vast selection that you might need more than one day to conquer the entire area. Pro tip: comfortable shoes are a must.

5 p.m. Grab a beer at Tired Hands Brewing Company

35 Cricket Terr., Ardmore

This brewery has a wide variety of cans, bottles and more. In this artistic setting, guests can sample unique brews while digging into classic snacks and apps with friends.

6:30 p.m. – Savor dinner at DePaul’s Table

7 E Lancaster Ave., Ardmore

DePaul’s is Ardmore’s premier steakhouse. Located inside of a former failed bank for the Merion Title and Trust Company built in 1890, the grandeur of the space alone is stunning, but the menu and food will continue to take your breath away. Kona-crusted filet tips and classic oysters Rockefeller grace the appetizer offerings while a bevy of soups and salads carry hungry guests over to their entrees, where fine cuts of steak and pasta like lobster ravioli and farfalle with Kennett Square mushrooms continue the parade.

8:30 p.m. See a show at the Ardmore Music Hall

This intimate venue brings the hottest nationally touring acts to Ardmore every week. Renovated in 2021, it’s the perfect spot to dance your heart out and see great bands around the Main Line.

11 p.m. Hunker down at Bryn Mawr Guest Suites
