Is there anything Beck can’t do? Over the last 25 years, the sonic chameleon has bounced from folk to hip-hop to funk to rock and back to folk again, winning three Grammys in the process (for 2014’s Morning Phase). Ceramics and mixed media are the focus at the Woodmere Annual 77th Juried Exhibition. This year’s juror, Syd Carpenter, is a professor at Swarthmore College whose work has been featured in the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery, among other places. She’s selected a stunning variety of work that includes the remarkable ceramics of Yinka Orafidiya and Roberto Lugo (pictured). All 75 artists are based within 50 miles of the area, giving the exhibit a regional vibe.
