From concerts to parades to fireworks, there are plenty of ways to celebrate our nation this Independence Day.

2018 Wawa Welcome America Festival • June 28 – July 4

Global superstar Pitbull headlines this year’s Wawa Welcome America Festival concert on July 4. In addition to Mr. Worldwide, the Philly POPS BIG Band returns to the stage to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The POPS will be joined by Tony and Grammy awards winning R&B star, Heather Headley. Look for citywide events the week leading up the concert and firework show, like the Sand Sculpture Spectacular at the Shops at Liberty Place, and Free Museum Day at the Mütter Museum.

Independence Day Celebration at Museum of the American Revolution • June 30 – July 4

At the Museum of the American Revolution, visitors can reflect on our nation’s history and engage in discussion. This family-friendly event is filled with activities designed to inspire learning about the Declaration of Independence.

Garrett Hill – Rosemont 4th of July Parade • July 4

For the past 69 years, Garrett Hill has kept up the tradition of celebrating Independence Day with family, friends, and fun. See decorated bikes and floats at the parade, then head over to Clem Macrone Park to watch the Bryn Mawr Rotary Club Races.

July 4th Community Picnic in the Park • July 4

Celebrate our nation’s independence with historical games, music, and an all-American cookout. Plus, learn about the Valley Forge Encampment and it’s vital role in the American Revolution.

Marple Newtown Fourth of July Parade • July 4

This annual parade starts at St. Alban’s Circle in Newtown Square and finishes at the Broomall Fire House. Be sure to check out the beautiful antique cars and creative floats along the route.

Narberth’s 76th Annual Fourth of July Celebration • July 4

Now in its 76th year, the Narberth Fourth of July celebration is a must-attend for area residents. Festivities include a parade of adorable babies, plus family-friendly activities like a wheelbarrow race and a pie-eating contest. The evening ends with one of the biggest area fireworks displays around.

Norristown Fourth of July Parade and Festivities • July 4

This year, Norristown is mixing things up with a new parade route and a block party. After the parade, head to Main Street where there will be live music, food trucks, local vendors, and a beer garden.

Phoenixville Independence Day Celebration • July 4

Now in its 19th year, the Phoenixville Parks and Recreation Department promises visitors a fireworks show designed to thrill.

Tredyffrin Township’s Fourth of July Celebration • July 4

From 7:15-9:15 p.m., the Chester County Concert Band will perform at Wilson Farm Park, accompanied by a dusk-time fireworks show.
