Denim Habit—once known as Smith Bros.—has opened a new Ardmore boutique. And while the new space is smaller than the former Bryn Mawr location, it hasn’t forced the owners to compromise on their extensive inventory of trendy women’s apparel.
Denim Habit offers classic luxury jeans from Citizens of Humanity, Joe’s, Hudson, True Religion and Paige, along with newer brands like Rockstar and DL1961. The latter brand is attracting a legion of followers thanks to its four-way stretch jeans, which hold their shape surprisingly well (no more sagging in the butt or knees).
“Jeans are so widely accepted now,” says store manager Lizanne Crotty. “Women can wear dark jeans and blazers to business meetings, or they can wear a pair of skinny jeans and a dressy tank for a night out.”
Denim Habit’s staff can size up a woman’s shape, matching it to the perfect style. “There are jeans for everyone here,” says Crotty. “You just have to come in with an open mind and be willing to try on different styles.”
Straight leg, skinny and denim leggings are hot trends for spring. And if you love the ripped look, it’s back just in time for warmer weather.
Denim Habit also carries an array of dressy and casual tops and tanks from 1520, Ella Moss, Splendid, Yumi Kim and Patterson J. Kincaid, plus super-comfy, stylish sweats from So Low and Butter.
