Nabin Chhantyal, former owner of East Norriton’s Aman’s Indian Cuisine, has acquired Conshohocken’s 401 Diner, turning it into Nirvana, a modern Indian BYOB. Chef Jagmeet Singh has remained true to 401’s roots by offering classic diner fare for breakfast and lunch, but the dinner menu is loaded with fresh twists on the cuisine of his homeland.
McKenzie Brew House alum and Great American Beer Festival award-winner Scott Morrison has taken over as head brewer at Lafayette Hill’s new Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery. His house beers will focus on rare and eclectic styles not “readily available in the Philly market.” Expect a grand opening sometime this summer.
