» Nectar’s Patrick Feury is keeping it all in the family. Terence Feury (Striped Bass, Ritz-Carlton) will join his brother and partners Scott Morrison and Michael Wei at their highly anticipated bi-level Euro restaurant-market, Maia, opening in Villanova later this summer.

» The Classic Diner in Malvern is hawking its premium hickory-smoked, hand-trimmed pork bacon on QVC. For $31.62 (plus shipping and handling), you get two 1.5-pound, vacuum-sealed packages.

» Editorial license or female prerogative? In June’s Food & Wine magazine, editor Dana Cowin repealed her proclamation two years ago that Philadelphia is a “boring food city.” After visiting Philly over the winter, Cowin now says our eateries are “better than many of the top restaurants in smaller cities” and “there are now more places I want to try in Philadelphia than New York.”
