Uncover the Root Causes of Your Health Concerns Today with Village Health and Healing

Are you or your child struggling with weight concerns, behavior changes, anxiety, ADHD, digestive issues, low energy levels, constipation, an autoimmune condition, acid reflux, recurring infections, or other chronic health concerns?

Functional and integrative medicine can help you and your loved ones. Conventional or “mainstream” medicine almost exclusively involves prescriptions and treatments for specific symptoms. Patients often sit in a waiting room longer than they spend with the doctor. This leaves them feeling unheard and frustrated when they don’t get the answers or time they deserve. While the prescription may seem to help their condition, it is often only treating a symptom of an underlying overall health issue.

We live in a world filled with processed foods, environmental toxins, and the stress of modern life. It’s no wonder that so many people struggle with their weight, anxiety, or chronic fatigue. There is a better way to live, though. Today, many people are seeking out functional medicine doctors to fill in the gaps of conventional medicine and get to the root cause of their health concerns. While conventional medicine mostly focuses on treating the symptoms of a medical condition, functional medicine focuses on uncovering the underlying root causes of disease. When the root cause of disease is identified, a holistic treatment approach can then be tailored to each individual to reverse the cause of disease in the first place.

Rachael Clark, MD, FMACP, a functional and integrative medicine physician at Village Health and Healing, is on a mission to help her patients get the answers they deserve and be the partner they’ve been looking for on their health journey. Dr. Clark, who is currently accepting new patients, is board-certified in Family Medicine, and she practiced and taught residents and medical students in the conventional system for 8 years after completing her residency training. She became increasingly frustrated with the constraints on time spent with patients and the lack of tools and resources to really make a difference in her patients’ health journeys. After starting her own healing journey, she discovered functional and integrative medicine. She studied and learned about new tools and how to treat patients in a holistic way to discover the root causes of so many chronic illnesses that can be tested for, treated, and reversed! She felt as if all of the puzzle pieces were finally coming together.

Some of the core focus areas in her functional and integrative practice include metabolic health, gut health, heart health, brain health, hormone health, immune health, stress management, and detoxification. Dr. Clark uses detailed diagnostic tests to uncover nutrient deficiencies, hormonal disruptions, gut imbalances, toxin and heavy metal exposures, underlying chronic infections, and more. Integrative medicine incorporates a broad spectrum of therapies to support the body’s ability to heal by aligning physical, mental, and emotional health to create harmony within the body and mind.

She creates a tailored health plan for each individual that might include nutritional guidance, a movement/exercise plan, supplements and herbs, medications, detox protocols, stress reduction techniques, and other lifestyle modifications. Dr. Clark is passionate about helping others and optimizing the health and well-being of her patients through this integrated approach to medicine.

At Village Health and Healing, Dr. Clark partners with her patients to guide them on the best path forward for healing, creating a personalized plan that is both attainable and sustainable for each person. She works alongside your primary care provider and specialists and reviews all of your previous medical history and testing before your first appointment with her.

Dr. Clark works with patients of all ages to achieve overall wellness and balance. And if you have questions along your journey, you can contact her through a private portal and get a response within 48 hours.
