For Downsizing and Convenience, One Ardmore Offers Easy Access and Amenities

Downsizing from large high-maintenance single homes is a trend for both Baby Boomers and Millennials. Empty nesters find themselves with more room and possessions than they need to live comfortably, while millennials are drawn to minimalism and convenience.

There’s also a trend of empty nesters wanting to live closer to the excitement of the city but without the driving and parking hassles. Plus, mowing sprawling lawns and dealing with constant maintenance and repairs is a hassle many people are happy to relinquish!

Ideal for couples who are downsizing, city commuters, and young couples considering starting families on the Main Line, One Ardmore offers prime convenience and accessibility to the best of city and suburban life.

Kin and Joi Cheng chose to downsize after realizing they didn’t need so much space for two, and would rather be surrounded by dining, entertainment, and shopping.

“We lived in a four-bedroom house and barely used half the space,” Joi says. “We had an overabundance of furniture, possessions and junk that we didn’t need.”

“It was a really comfortable move and didn’t take much time to adjust,” she says about their decision to downsize. “A smaller space encourages you to focus on what you need.”

Surrounded with the best of Main Line shopping and dining including Suburban Square, The Bercy, Iron Hill Brewery, Tired Hands Brewery, and so much more, One Ardmore offers easy access to great food and entertainment. And only two blocks from the Ardmore Train station, residents are just minutes from everything Center City Philadelphia has to offer.

Right before they moved to Ardmore in late April, Kin started a new job in the City. Ardmore served as the perfect compromise for the couple, with Kin taking a comfortable ride on the regional rail and Joi having a choice between a short drive or quick train ride to her job.

“I had to drive to a train station to get into the city or find a way to carpool,” adds Kin about the decision to live near the Main Line. “By moving to Ardmore, it has cut my commute significantly.”

One Ardmore offers all the conveniences of luxury apartment living including a full fitness center, maintenance-free fire pit lounge and grilling area, a multi-purpose clubroom, elegantly furnished communal spaces, a landscaped terrace, and a secure parking garage.

The Chengs found the onsite storage area especially helpful.

“The storage area allowed us to keep a few larger items that we would have otherwise had to get rid of,” says Joi. “It really gave us the chance to thoughtfully go through our things and decide what was important and what wasn’t.”

One Ardmore offers one, two, and three-bedroom rental apartments, all featuring modern interiors and spacious layouts with oversized windows providing plenty of natural light.

The pet-friendly residences are located in the highly ranked Lower Merion School District and are just minutes from top universities like Villanova, Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Rosemont.
