Philadelphia Cricket Club gets a double dose of good news in 2014. Their Tillinghast gem, the Wissahickon course, will reopen this spring after major renovation work to many holes and greens. In addition, the club has been selected to host the 48th PGA Professional National Championship June 21-24, 2015, presented by Club Car, Mercedes-Benz and OMEGA. It will be the second time the PGA of America’s showcase event for pros has been hosted in the Philadelphia PGA Section. Philly Cricket also holds the unique distinction of being the only country club in America to have opened a golf course in each of the past three centuries.
