Why You Should Go to the Chester County Restaurant Festival this Sunday

In its 36th year, the festival will be bigger and better than ever when it hits West Chester on Sunday, Sept. 20.

Back for its 36th year and bigger than ever, the annual Chester County Restaurant Festival will take place Sunday, September 20, from noon–5 p.m. Presented by the West Chester Parks and Recreation Department, the fest will delight attendees with over 65 restaurants, caterers and food vendors.

Guests 21 and older can also enjoy the beer and wine garden, “Church Street Café,” located at the intersection of Gay and Church streets. Proceeds will benefit the Parks and Recreation Department’s Send a Kid to Camp Fund.

In addition to plenty of food and libations, the festival will also feature nearly 110 arts and crafts vendors, information booths, and three stage areas with live music from eight different bands throughout the day.

The festival will take over the majority of downtown West Chester, encompassing Gay Street from Matlack to Darlington and Market and Darlington to High streets. In an effort to alleviate parking woes, garages in West Chester will be just $5 for the day.

While noshing, be sure to participate in The Town Dish People’s Choice Awards. All festival restaurants are automatically entered—just choose your favorite bite of the day and cast your vote. Awards will be presented to winning restaurants at the end of the day.

Please note: no pets are allowed in event grounds.
