After much anticipation, the Whole Foods Market in Exton will open on Jan. 18, bringing with it the high-quality products its customers expect, plus a few bonuses scattered throughout the 50,000 square-foot store.
Large Rooftop Deck
The new Whole Foods isn’t just for grocery shopping—it’s also a great place to gather with friends over a beer or takeaway meals. During the warmer months, visitors will be able to dine on the store’s rooftop deck, which features a fire pit, food counter, seating, and a stage for live music.
Home Goods
In a step towards becoming a one-stop lifestyle brand, Whole Foods is expanding into the socially conscious home décor business. The Exton location will sell ceramic bowls, tablecloths, picture frames, wooden coasters from Philadelphia-based Half and a Third, and other household wares.
Cheese Department
Whole Foods will have certified cheese professionals on hand. The in-store experts can suggest pairings and tips for creating a cheese board. The location will also offer goat cheese from Chester Springs’ Yellow Springs Farm.
Local Brands
Expect to find more than 75 locally supplied products. Some of these brands include Vör peanut butter cups and Éclat Chocolate, both from West Chester; mushrooms from Kennett Square’s Phillips Mushroom Farms; infused honey from Taste Artisanal Market; coffee from Burlap and Bean; and sugarcane rum from Phoenixville’s Bluebird Distilling. Local brews will be available from Yards, Victory, 2SP and Manayunk Brewing Company.
