Lobster Roll at Glenmorgan Bar & Grill |

The scoop on celebrity guests: The Springsteen family stayed with us for years. Jessica Springsteen, Bruce and Patti’s daughter, is an accomplished horse rider and participated in the Devon Horse Show. Rosie O’Donnell’s son just graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy, and the family stayed here and had a celebration at Paramour. John Boehner was with us for two nights. He arrived and departed in a screaming convoy of Secret Service cars.
Best outdoor event on the Main Line: The Wayne Hotel’s Old Fashioned Christmas. It’s like a Currier and Ives scene. I love it and never miss it.
The perfect date: Checking out the current exhibit at Wayne Art Center, followed by a casual dinner in Wayne, a movie at the Anthony Wayne Theater, and a nightcap at Paramour.

Wayne’s best-kept secret: Chanticleer garden. It’s a world-class attraction that’s been written about in England’s national press, where gardens are held in high regard. So many Main Liners aren’t sure what Chanticleer is, and they haven’t visited. They should.

What he does for fun: I love attending estate sales at grand Main Line mansions. I don’t go to see what they’re selling; I go to see the actual building, its architecture and décor. I’ve heard the term “real estalker”—that’s what I am.

The last thing he ate that he loved: I was just raving about the lobster roll at Glenmorgan Bar & Grill . It’s the best I’ve had outside New England. It’s served with potato chips made in-house. Truly fantastic.
Favorite local restaurants (other than Paramour): Xilantro in Wayne and A la Maison in Ardmore. I lived in Switzerland for a time, right near the French border, and I grew to love French food. What A la Maison serves is very authentic and a great mix of classic and comfort food.
