Here’s a hot-off-the-press event reminder: On Nov. 13 from 5 to 8 p.m., Rolling Barrel Events is hosting a cool-weather food and drink festival at Philly’s Independence Seaport Museum. The Stout and Chowder Festival features “belly-warming soups and burly beers” from local breweries. Plus, you get to take home a commemorative glass mug for your own burly beer enjoyment. $40 in advance, $45 at the door. Proceeds benefit the museum. Call (610) 292-0880, or visit rollingbarrel.com.
Since the Eagles aren’t playing until Monday: My PR gal pal, Sarah Doheny, has been dishing the scoop on Nov. 14‘s open casting call for season seven of Hell’s Kitchen. If you know anyone who has what it takes, or if you’re looking to spice up your life with a culinary thrill ride, this is a great opportunity. The madness takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel in Philly. Former contestant Ed Battaglia will be in the house to calm the savage nerves and lay down some firm advice on how to slice up the competition. For more information, e-mail sarah@yubpr.com.
