Volunteer Spotlight

Joann Magnatta, Main Line Health

Go Red For Women is honored and privileged to benefit from the amazing dedication of thousands of volunteers. Each year, men and women around Greater Philadelphia host events, organize teams, and raise significant dollars to fight heart disease and stroke.

Few have shown greater enthusiasm for Go Red For Women initiative than JoAnn Magnatta, Senior Vice President of Facilities Design and Construction and Real Estate at Main Line Health. JoAnn has dedicated years of volunteerism to the American Heart Association and her contributions have been immeasurable. Since joining the Go Red Executive Leadership Team in 2008, JoAnn has been committed to advancing the Go Red for Women mission. In 2010, she took the reigns as the Go Red For Women Luncheon Chair and led the team to grow event attendance and fundraising totals. In 2012, she joined the Southeastern Pennsylvania Board of Directors.

JoAnn’s dedication towards Go Red for Women goes beyond her fundraising efforts. JoAnn has served as a TV spokesperson for National Wear Red Day in February and has been instrumental in the implementation of the Big Hats Little Hearts initiative at all four of the Main Line Health hospitals, where all babies born during the month of February received red hand knit cap to promote awareness of pediatric cardiovascular health.

Go Red For Women and the American Heart Association thank JoAnn from the bottom of our hearts!
