Valley Forge Flowers Debuts New Expansion

Plus, the Devon Horse Show offers interesting events for both equine and home lovers.

EXPANSION, PART 2: If you thought it wasn’t possible for Valley Forge Flowers to get any more fabulous, you’d be wrong. This month, VFF is set to debut The Cottage, a new addition housing antiques handpicked from French flea markets, plus a selection of tabletop accessories, linens and more. Another expansion highlight is the glasshouse connector filled with specimen plants. Owner Barb King is betting that shoppers will want to linger: The Cottage also has a café serving La Colombe coffee and Caporgiro gelato.

BEST IN SHOW: Obviously, the world-class equestrian events are the main draw at this month’s Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, running May 25-June 4. But the non-equine distractions are many at this iconic event. Each year, more than 500 works by regional and national artists are on display at the Art Gallery at Devon. Mediums represented at this juried show include oils, watercolors and sculpture. On May 24, the gallery hosts First Night at Devon, offering attendees the chance to experience the Country Fair shops without the crowds. To request an invitation, call (610) 331-9481.
