Two April Events You Can’t Miss

Check out the Philadelphia Science Festival and the Spring Barn Sale at Life’s Patina.

>>  GREEN LIVING: The Philadelphia Science Festival celebrates its fifth anniversary April 24-May 2 with events throughout the area. On April 26, the Riverbend Environmental Education Center in Gladwyne, hosts “Small Steps to a Naturally Greener Life,” where experts share easy sustainability techniques to reduce your carbon footprint. Hands-on activities will focus on recycling, backyard composting, rainwater collection, green gardening, and more. One of the first steps families can take involves waste. “Consider starting backyard composting to dispose of your food,” says Dr. Raluca Ellis, an environmental scientist at the Franklin Institute. “Start a conversation with others about sustainability.”

>>  BARN SALE: On April 17-19, Life’s Patina in Malvern hosts its annual Spring Barn Sale. Owner Meg Veno will have antiques,
vintage pieces and repurposed goods arranged in vignettes throughout her barn. The sale coincides with the
Episcopal Academy House Tour on April 17, which will feature Veno’s property.

Our Best of the Main Line & Western Suburbs Party is July 25!
