This Month’s Main Line Restaurant Openings

Foodies will flock to Glen Mills, Malvern, West Chester and Conshohocken for the latest in the dining scene.

>> AVENUE WIDENING: Pacesetter Dana Farrell expanded her Avenue Kitchen brand to Glen Eagle Square in Glen Mills last month. Guests can expect the same stylish, approachable food and drink programs they know from the original restaurant in Villanova.

>> FRESH BAKED: Malvern Buttery has arrived on East King Street in Malvern, backed by owners John and Silenia Rhoads, with a baking program run by French-Canadian chef Kevin LaForest. Expect everything from fresh baguettes, stuffed croissants and herbed focaccia to Counter Culture coffee, spiced lemonades and Silk Road teas.

>> CHANGING OF THE GUARD: In midsummer, Kildare’s West Chester changed hands. It’s now owned by 11-year manager Dane Gray, whose wife, Stephanie, a Culinary Institute of America-trained chef, also joins the team to elevate the pub’s fare. Founder Dave Magrogan will continue as owner of the other four Kildare’s in Manayunk, State College, Scranton and Newark, Del.

>> NEW IN CONSHY: Local Table Market Fresh Café at East First Avenue in downtown Conshohocken features local, seasonal, healthy fare served at
affordable prices. Think ancient grain salads, chakra and protein shakes, and wheatgrass shots.
