Though still under construction, Bryn Mawr Village is shaping up to be a culinary hotspot. Bryn & Dane’s (opening June) and La Colombe will join the shopping center, along with Zavino Hospitality Group, which recently announced plans to open a third location of its casual pizza and wine bar. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant will be much larger than both of the previous ventures in Philadelphia and likely opening in September. The space, a former truck garage, boasts 23-foot ceilings and plans are in the works to include live trees inside and skylight windows. 900 block of W. Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr, www.zavino.com.

Brick & Brew, with a current location in Havertown, has started construction on new digs in Media, in the now-shuttered Plumstead Inn. We love the extensive craft beer offerings, comfort food menu and brick oven pizzas. 26 W. State St., Media, www.bricknbrewpub.com.

Just days after Victory Brewing Company announced it was forming a craft beer alliance with Southern Tier Brewing Company under parent company Artisanal Brewing Ventures, another local brewing icon has formed a partnership that will allow for growth. Iron Hill Restaurant & Brewery, with locations in Media, West Chester, Ardmore, Chestnut Hill, Phoenixville and more, has announced that it has struck a deal with investment firm A&M Capital Opportunities. Iron Hill hopes to open 20 or more locations along the eastern seaboard over the next four years.

Station Taproom is expanding its craft beer with the announcement of plans to open Bottle Room next to its current location. Bottle Room will boast a serious selection of craft and import bottles, draft beer for in-house consumption, growler and crowler fills to-go and a small menu with a focus on local cheeses and charcuterie. 209 W.
