The Best Holiday Home Tours

Tis the season for home tours, and these two come highly recommended. 

The Charms of Fairmount Park—the six historic 18th- and 19th-century mansions that ring the Philadelphia park—will be all dressed up for the holidays and receiving visitors, starting Dec. 3. Expect festive interiors, with each mansion professionally decorated in a different theme.

Tickets are $5 per mansion; tour as many as you’d like. The free Fairmount Park Holly Trolley is available on Dec. 6, and homes are open through Dec. 30. Reservations required.

On Dec. 7, the Haverford Township Historical Society features great old homes decked out in style on its Holiday House Tour. Tickets are $25, $20 for members.
