Hadn’t heard? Vecchia’s Wayne location is back in business! After a PECO transformer exploded beneath the building a few months ago, the nearly new Wayne Avenue pizzeria was forced to close. In celebration of the reopening, owner Frank Nattle is offering 12-inch margherita pies for $5, Mondays through Thursdays, from from 11 a.m.– 2 p.m.

Speaking of pizza, upscale-casual Avero Italiano Craft Pizzeria has closed its doors after two years. Owner Scott Morrison doesn’t know what will become of the space, whether it will be sold or turned into a new concept.

Baco Juice and Taco Bar is closing, but don’t cry; it’s just for two days—Aug. 10 and 11. Fans of the taco and smoothie restaurant will rejoice when it reopens on Wednesday, Aug. 12, with expanded seating.
There’s great news for Peloton Cold Brew coffee lovers. Rumor has it that Peloton has signed a lease for a manufacturing facility at 510 East Barnard Street, which will make it easier to enjoy their refreshing and delicious coffee in the future.
Levante Brewing Company held its grand opening celebration last weekend, much to the pleasure of local beer lovers. Get a taste of what they have to offer at the taproom on Fridays from 4–10 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m.–10 p.m.

A new seafood-centric restaurant is coming to Main Street in the former Beast and Ale location courtesy of Anastasi Seafood, a staple in Philly’s Italian Market for nearly a century. Anastasi Raw Bar also has a liquor license in the works. Expect a late September/early October opening.
