Sweet Money-Saving Reminder

This one hit me in the face at the drugstore this morning. Got candy?

I usually try to make old-fashioned Christmas crackers filled with candy for the holidays. They’re great to dress up a dinner table or present and to put in a big basket at the door, extending well wishes to holiday visitors.

While shopping in a local drugstore this morning, I saw all of the holiday displays already—including ones with candy. On one side of the aisle, the Christmas candy was stocked (11.5-ounce bag of little candy bars for $4.99). And on the other side, there was the SAME candy in a Halloween bag (11.2-ounce bag for $1)—and the wrappers of the individual candies were generic. I’ve always noticed this and, sometimes, have definitely taken advantage of the candy sales post-Halloween.

So if you need any sweets for holiday candy dishes or stockings, go now!
